About the role
The role sits within Qualcomm India's Engineering Group (Software Engineering), which builds firmware for wireless and networking products. The work is centered on WLAN firmware, including software architecture, development, release and maintenance, and defining software interfaces with peer teams. This staff-level position requires deep embedded firmware experience in C and works on WLAN feature design for 802.11 products.

- 9+ years of experience in design and implementation of embedded software/firmware for networking/wireless products
- Expertise in C programming
- Experience with 802.11 protocol preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong architectural skills - design/implement for performance, modularity, and portability
- Excellent team communication, and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
