About the role
Microsoft's Industry Solutions organization helps customers around the world get the best outcomes from their investments in the latest Microsoft cloud technologies, guiding them through their digital journey from envisioning possibilities to delivering targeted business outcomes. The consulting team builds data and AI solutions on Microsoft Azure across modern data platforms, generative AI, and governance and analytics. As a Data & AI Consultant, this role delivers high-quality solutions for strategic customers, fosters senior-level client relationships, and contributes best practices and intellectual property to the global Microsoft community.

What the employer is looking for
- Need to have a deep technical background with 10+ years of technology-related experience, including 4+ years delivering data and AI solutions on Microsoft Azure (Experience on AWS or GCP will be an added advantage). Require in depth expertise in the following functional areas.
- Designing and implementing modern data platforms on Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL.
- Building scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Event Hubs and Stream Analytics.
- Lakehouse and medallion architecture, including Delta and Parquet formats.
- Data modelling, query optimization and performance tuning.
- Migrating and modernizing legacy data warehouses and on-premises data estates to Azure.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python and PySpark.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code (ARM, Bicep or Terraform).
- Designing and delivering generative AI solutions with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI and agentic patterns, including retrieval augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering and orchestration frameworks.
- Azure Machine Learning for model development, deployment and MLOps.
- Azure AI Search, Document Intelligence and Cognitive Services.
- Evaluation, grounding and Responsible AI practices.
- Copilot and Copilot Studio extensibility.
- Data governance, lineage and cataloguing with Microsoft Purview.
- Securing data and AI workloads using Microsoft Entra ID, private networking, Azure Key Vault, RBAC and encryption.
- Power BI semantic models and enterprise reporting.
- Cost management and platform optimization.
- We would also expect you to be able to pass the following Certifications in the first 12 months of employment with us, if you do not already hold them:
- DP-900: Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals
- AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals
- DP-700: Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer Associate
- AI-102: Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate
- DP-600: Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate
