About the role
The Global Business Organization (GBO) powers Google’s ecosystem of products and services for customers and partners, including ads sales, business development, customer services and support, and overlay programs for complex customer engagements. As a Technical Program Manager, the role leads complex, multi-disciplinary projects from requirements and risk identification through scheduling and cross-functional communication. This position focuses on internal security tools, translating technical architectures into software builds and managing security reviews, infrastructure dependencies, and compliance launch gates.
What you will do
- Own the execution roadmap for internal security tools, managing timelines, priorities, and engineering resource allocation across the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure technical architectures from the Functional pod are translated accurately and efficiently into software builds by the operational pod.
- Act as the primary technical liaison with central, managing security reviews, infrastructure dependencies, and compliance launch gates.
- Triage engineering issues, evaluate design tradeoffs, and assess risk surfaces to prevent project bottlenecks.
- Lead specific programmatic domains (e.g., data and access governance or remediation and response operations), ensuring holistic coverage of the gTech risk environment.
Skills used in this role

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in technical program management.
- Experience with central security infrastructure.
Preferred qualifications
- 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience managing complex enterprise security, identity, or privacy programs.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, systems design, and technical risk management.
- Experience in program management, generative AI agent, access models, insider threat, risk analysis, risk management compliance and identity management.
