About the role
AMD designs processors and technologies spanning AI, scientific discovery, healthcare and everyday computing. This Program Manager role in EDA owns end-to-end program management for software products, partnering with software development teams and customer support, and tracking chip lifecycle from planning through prototype, execution and production release. The role also drives cross-geography coordination, project artifacts, risk mitigation and status reporting for global program execution teams.
What you will do
- Plan and execute programs focusing on quality and deadlines
- Drives completion of all required deliverables, with a focus on customer quality feedback and established deadlines
- Creates and maintains project management artifacts such as schedule, resource and resource forecast, risk and issues logs
- Cross-Geography coordination to ensure all stakholders are aligned
- Chip Life-cycle tracking all the way from planning to prototype to execution to production release
- Provides unique views of project status updates and facilitates cross development team dependencies and communications
- Identify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle
- Collaborates with core teams and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations to identify corrective actions
- Collect, analyze, organize and publish work performance data via dashboards and recurring status reports
- Strong self-motivator, with a sense of urgency when needed and strong crisis management skills

What the employer is looking for
- The right candidate will have solid knowledge of program management, impeccable track record of delivering complex software programs, and experience with Device Drivers, Firmware, Graphics technology, SOC product development and customer facing experience.
- 8+ Years of Program Management Experience in EDA or related compaines
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is desired
Preferred qualifications
- Proven Project & Program Management experience in dynamic and competitive industry, particularly within Software Development or Engineering based organizations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Chip Life Cycle Tracking in rollout of devices in a Software Organization with relevant EDA industry experience is preferred
- Proven Cross-Geography Coordination experience
- Horizontal leadership/Matrix management experience is required, People management is desirable
- Flexible working schedule to manage global program execution team (Asia and North America emphasis)
- PMP certification is required
- Agile development or certification is a bonus
