About the role

This American Express team mitigates risk and prevents loss by handling potential credit abuse and credit bust out (CBO) cases for Business and Consumer accounts, while still enabling customer spend. Colleagues analyze account activity and card utilization behavior to identify possible intent to defraud the company or cause significant financial loss, and support management of the CBO portfolio's aging. The role involves case handling and account analysis while supporting inbound and outbound contact volume.

What you will do

  • Responsible for mitigating risk and preventing loss in a production environment and enabling spend for our customers, by handling potential credit abuse and credit bust out for Business and Consumer accounts.
  • Collaborating on this team provides opportunities in enhancing analytical skills and identifying potential trends in card utilization behavior.
  • Colleagues in this position handle cases and complete analysis on accounts to determine if there is a possible intention by card members to defraud American Express or cause American Express to suffer significant financial loss.
  • Specialists assist in managing the aging of the CBO portfolio and support both inbound & outbound volume.
  • Successful specialists must have the ability to quickly analyze account information and identify what is hiding in the data.

  • Grad/Under Grad with minimum 1 year experience in contact center domain
  • Prior experience in credit, collections is preferred
