About the role
Honeywell's systems engineering group designs and delivers network and industrial control system infrastructure for global customers, with engineering execution carried out remotely from India. The role works across network architecture, IP addressing schemes, topology drawings, firewall and security standards, virtualization, and industrial communication protocols. The engineer also supports Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing and performs startup and commissioning of Industrial Control Systems at domestic and global sites.
What you will do
- Understanding and designing of System & Network Infrastructure.
- To understand the customer's project specifications and requirements.
- To evaluate the project inputs and collate technical queries through Emails/Teleconference for projects to be executed remotely from India.
- Design overall Network and Project Infrastructure as per Customer's Specification.
- Prepare Network Architecture, IP Addressing Schemes, Network Topology Drawings, and related Engineering Design Documents.
- To ensure the quality of all deliverables.
- To support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) with Customers.
- Startup and commissioning of Industrial Control Systems.

- Should have minimum 5 to 12 years of hands-on experience in:
- Networking Knowledge: TCP/IP protocols, Routing Protocols, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, Multilayer switching, STP, SSH, CDP, Ether channel, Ring Network topology, IP routing, ACL, SD-WAN Implementation, IT networking, VOIP Implementation, AP and Wireless design and deployment, etc.
- Network Firewall Knowledge: Cisco/Fortinet/Palo-Alto/Sophos, Firewall rules configuration, IDS-IPS Configuration, VPN Configuration, etc.
- Knowledge of working in Telecommunication Sector involving CCTV, PAGA, Access Control will be an added advantage but not mandatory.
- Basic Knowledge of MacAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), Windows Active Directory, System Hardening, WSUS, NTP, GPS, Network Management System (NMS).
- Basic Knowledge on Virtualization: ESXi host, VSphere / Nutanix, VM host load calculation.
- Hands-ON experience on TACACS, RADIUS Authentication.
- Basic Understanding of Industrial Communication Protocols: Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, OPC (UA, DA, HDA, A&E), ProfiNet and similar.
- Understanding of Industrial Control System Security Standards: ISA 99 / IES 62443, ISO 27001, NIST
- Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) such as Honeywell, Emerson, Yokogawa, Schneider, ABB, or similar platforms will be an added advantage.
- Valid CCNA Must. CCNP Certification will add value
- Cisco Cyber Ops, Professional Certification of Cisco, Palo Alto or Fortinet Firewalls.- Preferred
- Execute, Plan & deliver as per commitments,
- Team player with Good command on Oral + Written communication in English.
- Strong ability to integrate with the team to acquire technical skills and competencies.
- Strong Customer Handling capabilities for Global projects & Customers.
- Readiness to travel to Domestic & Global Site locations
- Any Bachelor’s degree (Preferably BE – Instrumentation or IT) as minimum. Diploma Holder with exceptional skills can be considered it other criteria’s are met.
