About the role
The role sits within Bosch's powertrain engineering organization, working on software projects for ECU-based gasoline engine management systems. The work covers SW system design, project development, program version planning and release, and requirement tracking for powertrain controllers such as the MDG1 platform. The software project manager owns the SW sub-project for on-time, on-spec and on-budget delivery, coordinating with calibration, plant and ECU project stakeholders and managing sub-project risks.
What you will do
- Responsible for the SW project with respect to the aspects "on time", "on spec/quality" and "on budget"
- Responsible for all the activities regarding SW System Design and SW Project Development
- Planning, validating and release of program versions along with documentation
- Registration, scheduling, ordering and tracking of requirements and their implementation
- Creation of SW container for the plant and delivery to the calibration
- Supports the ECU project manager while evaluating the functionality of the entire system with respect to the objectives of the ECU project
- Analysis and evaluation of risks for the SW Sub-Project
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Prior experience of ECU software project management is desired
- Knowledge of C, Microcontroller, basic hardware concepts in Microcontroller based system
- Know-how of Gasoline engine management system is a plus
- Know-how of the MDG1 controllers and software platform is a plus
- Should be familiar with configuration management in SDOM
- Requirement management in RQ1, DOORs
- Basic knowledge of Tools - INCA / Online calibration tools, CAN tools such as Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle diagnostic tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility for travelling to customer location
- Bachelors or Masters in Engineering
- 8+ years in total, 3+ years in Bosch
