About the role
MantaRay NM is Nokia's network management platform that enables telecom providers to operate, optimize, and assure complex networks through automation, analytics, observability, and intelligent fault management. The team builds scalable, cloud-native observability applications and automation frameworks for these telecom network management use cases. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native microservices and APIs, deploying with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and CI/CD, and using Agentic AI within the engineering workflow.
What you will do
- Independently design, develop, debug and maintain scalable cloud-native applications
- Own microservices and APIs and raise the bar on quality, scalability, security and reliability
- Deliver and deploy with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and CI/CD
- Use Agentic AI as part of the standard workflow; build solutions that speed up development, testing and automation
- Coach juniors on design, quality and AI-assisted engineering
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- A Graduate/master's degree in engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering cloud-native, distributed software systems using Java (Spring Boot)/Python.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Experience building and integrating REST APIs and microservices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI and/or Jenkins)
- Exposure to Agentic AI/AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude, or equivalent).
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with SOAP APIs, Oracle/PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
- Proficiency in Linux shell scripting, automation, and strong development experience in Java and Python.
- Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
