About the role
MantaRay NM is a network management platform that enables telecom providers to operate, optimize, and assure complex networks through automation, analytics, observability, and intelligent fault management. The role focuses on building scalable, cloud-native observability applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance software. Software Engineers will design and maintain microservices and APIs, deploy with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD, and use AI-assisted engineering in development workflows.
What you will do
- Independently design, develop, debug and maintain scalable cloud-native applications
- Own microservices and APIs and raise the bar on quality, scalability, security and reliability
- Deliver and deploy with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and CI/CD
- Use Agentic AI as part of the standard workflow; build solutions that speed up development, testing and automation
- Coach juniors on design, quality and AI-assisted engineering
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- A Graduate/Master's degree in engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering cloud-native, distributed software systems using Java (Spring Boot)/ Python
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Experience building and integrating REST APIs and microservices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI and/or Jenkins)
- Exposure to Agentic AI/AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude, or equivalent).
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with SOAP APIs, Oracle/PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
- Proficiency in Linux shell scripting, automation, and strong development experience in Java and Python.
- Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
