About the role
The Delivery Assurance team at Nokia is responsible for driving quality execution for customers and ensuring customer satisfaction, with accountability for Live Network Intervention (LNI) activities. The role sits within Nokia's mobile core telecom domain, spanning 4G/5G SA network elements, cloud/virtualized infrastructure, and subscriber data management. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will review and approve LNI plans and artifacts, define KPIs, supervise service delivery during maintenance windows, and contribute to automation of LNI preparations and executions.
What you will do
- As a subject matter expert in the Delivery Assurance team, you will own and be accountable for all aspects of the LNI activity.
- You will accomplish this by leveraging your extensive Mobile Core expertise, best practices, and lessons learned. This role will require you to look across product domains and measure the impact and risks of LNI activities at a solution level.
- Review and approve LNI plans including data sources like CiQ, implementation procedures, scripts and other LNI artifacts prior to implementation on the customer network.
- Review and establish the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) that will be used to measure impacts to the network based on LNI work to be performed.
- Capture details of the review and as needed contribute findings to lessons learned and best practices.
- Execute (as needed) & supervise the services delivery teams during the maintenance window and manage incidents during the activity.
- If needed, join/ lead troubleshooting group for specific Live Network intervention
- Contribute to Automation programs focused on LNI preparations and executions.
- Ensure high-quality project delivery by monitoring delivery KPIs, execution plans, and overall project performance.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, with 7+ years of experience in architecting software, IT, or telecom solutions.
- Proven experience in defining architecture and delivering those solutions to the market.
- Extensive experience in telecommunications (4G/5GSA) with a deep understanding of Mobile Core network elements and technologies, their evolution, and the latest industry trends.
- Understanding of the interfaces and interactions between Mobile Core solution elements including 3rd parties.
- Experience with Subscriber Data Management functions: SDM elements HSS/HLR, AUSF_UDM, EIR, SDL
- Competences on TCP/IP & main Protocols: Diameter (Gx-Rx-Sy)/ HTTP2/ SIP / Sigtran / SOAP-XML / SNMP.
- Competences in Java/J2EE, Linux, DBMS, web technologies, cloud/virtualization, Kubernetes, containers, SDN, and data analytics.
- Hands on experience of Unix/Linux OS’s & Databases (Aerospike/MariaDB/Oracle/SQL)
- Advanced competence of NW Architectures/Products & International standards: 3GPP/ETSI.
- Experience on Cloud (VNF, CNF) & related products (CBIS/CBAM – NCS/NCOM) or platform VMware/OpenStack.
Preferred qualifications
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Ability to develop scripts / automation using AI tools as needed and high degree of proficiency in Kubernetes
- Good Communication skills which shall enable appropriate articulation of Issues / risks and their mitigation
