About the role
Google's Global Partnerships organization explores new opportunities with Google's partners across advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more, creating product-enabling partnerships and go-to-market strategies. As a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager for Gemini Data, the role focuses on strategically sourcing critical third-party data partnerships to power DeepMind's foundational AI models. The manager translates complex research needs into actionable data acquisition strategies, building an APAC pipeline and negotiating end-to-end agreements aligned with Gemini's core capability priorities.
What you will do
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential partners across APAC, with a focus on coding and agentic domains. Build and manage a robust APAC pipeline aligned with DeepMind (DM) strategic priorities.
- Lead end-to-end negotiation of multiple partnership agreements, navigating intricate commercial terms, usage rights, data specifications, and legal/ethical compliance considerations. Drive deals through internal review processes with precision and speed.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure seamless mange execution.
- Adhere to and actively contribute to refining the team's operational processes, ensuring accurate pipeline management (e.g., Salesforce), and continuous improvement.
Skills used in this role
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree or other advanced degree.
- Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
- Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
- Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
