About the role
The Google Home team focuses on hardware, software, and services offerings for the home, ranging from thermostats to smart displays, researching, designing, and developing new technologies and hardware with the mission of the helpful home. Google software engineers build next-generation technologies at massive scale across areas such as distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, and data storage. This role provides technical leadership on high-impact projects, influences and coaches a distributed team of engineers, and designs, develops, tests, deploys, maintains, and enhances large-scale software solutions.

Skills used in this role
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or in a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
