About the role
LinkedIn's global Product Design team advances quality, inclusive design across the platform. This role owns design for the Payments Platform, the experiences that let members and customers pay, switch, get refunded, and transact reliably and compliantly at global scale. The Staff Product Designer will shape new payment methods, checkout optimization, monetization surfaces, and shared commerce design patterns in partnership with cross-functional teams.
What you will do
- Own end-to-end design for payments, switcher, and refunds experiences across web, mobile, and new commercial surfaces
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Compliance, and Finance to design new payment methods and payment optimization strategies that lift approval rates and reduce cost
- Design scalable, compliant patterns for global payments (tax, trust, regulatory requirements across markets)
- Lead design for new monetization surfaces (Marketplace Payments, Mobile Monetization, new commercial models) from 0 to 1
- Simplify complex billing/subscription flows (plan switching, refunds, backup payment methods) to reduce customer effort and support case volume
- Build and evolve a shared design system for payments/commerce patterns used across LinkedIn's product surfaces
