About the role
Qualcomm develops next-generation communication and data processing technologies, and its ASIC Engineering group defines, designs, verifies, and validates high-performance, low-power IP and SoC products. The team collaborates across functions to determine product execution paths. This Staff Engineer role focuses on pre/post-silicon validation, embedded systems, device drivers, debug tooling, and automation for SoC subsystems.
What you will do

As a Qualcomm ASIC Engineer, you will define, model, design (digital and/or analog), optimize, verify, validate, implement, and document IP (block/SoC) development for a variety of high performance, high quality, low power world class products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional groups to determine product execution path.

- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience. OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
- Experience- 8+ Years Strong C/C++ programming
- Embedded systems and RTOS knowledge
- SoC architecture understanding
- Device driver development and integration
- Validation and test automation methodologies
- Debug tools such as T32/Lauterbach
- Build systems, scripts, and automation
- Knowledge of ARM, DDR, PMIC, Clock, NoC, PCIe, USB, UFS, or related subsystems
