About the role

Target's Procurement Team works across the business to maximize every resource, asset and relationship, using data, in-depth analysis and cross-functional insights to elevate sourcing and procurement activities. As a Senior Professional in Procurement Services supporting Contract & Catalog Operations, the role independently leads complex operational work across contracting, supplier onboarding and enablement, services procurement and related Procure-to-Pay processes. The role drives operational readiness across platforms including Ariba, SAP, Go-Cart and Maximo while partnering with Sourcing, Finance, Legal, Technology, business teams and suppliers.

What you will do

  • Own complex Contract Services and Contract & Catalog Operations work from intake through completion, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, policy compliance and strong partner experience.
  • Lead the operational contracting lifecycle, including intake, record creation, document coordination, amendments, renewals, pricing and term updates, approvals, signatures, repository maintenance and downstream enablement.
  • Own supplier onboarding, prequalification, due diligence, master data and enablement activities; partner with Sourcing, Legal, Finance, business teams and suppliers to resolve gaps, manage dependencies and move work to closure.
  • Lead services procurement enablement through accurate contract and pricing setup, service category readiness, catalog or rate maintenance and alignment of contract data with downstream purchasing, invoicing and work-order processes.
  • Lead operational readiness for New Stores, remodels and other enterprise initiatives by coordinating requirements, milestones, data validation, partner signoffs and configurations across Ariba, SAP, Go-Cart, Maximo and related platforms.
  • Act as an escalation point for non-routine and high-impact contracting, supplier, services, pricing, catalog, purchase order, invoice or procurement system issues; apply structured problem solving to address root causes and deliver sustainable solutions.
  • Establish operating plans and priorities across competing requests; manage dependencies, communicate trade-offs and risks, and consistently deliver against service-level, quality and compliance expectations.
  • Build trusted stakeholder and supplier relationships through responsive communication, professional judgment, clear expectations and consistent follow-through; communicate recommendations, risks, decisions and outcomes effectively to leaders and partners.
  • Develop and communicate operational metrics, SLAs, quality trends, aging, capacity and risk indicators; translate insights into decisions, corrective actions and improvement priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional process improvements from problem definition through implementation and benefit validation, using root-cause analysis, Lean or similar methods to simplify work, strengthen controls and improve partner experience.
  • Identify and deliver automation and digital improvement opportunities using Power Automate, Power BI, advanced Excel or procurement-platform workflows, while maintaining appropriate controls, documentation and adoption.
  • Translate business needs into functional process or system requirements; partner with Product and Technology teams on solution design, testing, implementation, adoption and ongoing issue resolution.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, controls, training materials and knowledge resources; provide functional leadership and coaching, strengthen team capability and model accountability, inclusion, collaboration and continuous learning.
