About the role
Qualcomm's target power team works on achieving industry-leading power optimized solutions on Qualcomm IoT targets. The role sits in the Engineering Group's software engineering area, focused on embedded Linux systems and SoC hardware domains such as interconnects, display, graphics and multimedia. This position performs system-level power and performance analysis, works with cross-functional teams to identify power challenges and enable system-level power features, and drives debugging and analysis to deliver software solutions that optimize battery power consumption.
What you will do
- Qualcomm target power team works on achieving industry leading power optimized solution on Qualcomm IoT targets. In this position, the candidate will need to perform system level power and performance analysis. Candidate will be working with cross-functional teams to analyze and identify power challenges, enable system level power features, drive debugging/analysis to identify and provide SW solution to optimize battery power consumptions.

What the employer is looking for
- Embedded Linux Systems background with a good understanding of upstream code, Yocto and Ubuntu framework. Understanding of microprocessor architecture and common SoC hardware blocks (Interconnects, Display, Graphics, Mulimedia), Strong knowledge of Linux tool chain, build envoirnment, and hands on experiance in perfomance analysis. Awareness of systems concepts like scheduling, memory management and device drivers.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
- M.Tech/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electorinics&Communication or related field with 5+ year of relevant work experience
