About the role
This role supports industrialization for Mahindra Group's aerospace sheet metal tooling work, covering form blocks, hand form blocks, press tools, milling fixtures, and checking fixtures. The engineer will use CATIA V5 for tooling design, 3D modeling, loft creation, and surface modeling while applying GD&T and aerospace manufacturing knowledge. The position manages tooling design activities from concept through manufacturing support and coordinates with cross-functional teams and customers.
What you will do
- Proven experience in Aerospace Sheet Metal Tool Design
- Strong expertise in the design and development of Form Blocks, Hand Form Blocks, Press Tools, Milling Fixtures, and Checking Fixtures
- Advanced proficiency in CATIA V5 for tooling design and 3D modeling
- Hands-on experience in Loft Creation and surface modeling techniques
- Sound knowledge of aerospace tooling materials and manufacturing processes
- Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T principles
- Excellent coordination and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and customers
- Knowledge of sheet metal forming processes, machining, assembly tooling, and inspection methodologies
- Ability to independently manage tooling design activities from concept through manufacturing support
