About the role
The Technical Support Group within Honeywell Connected Industrial supports a worldwide customer base with more than 90 engineers experienced in advanced process technologies. The team supports the Honeywell APC and CPM product lines, where CPM is used globally by operating companies to monitor the performance of regulatory and advanced process control applications. This role provides product and application support for external customers, contributes to the knowledge base and customer training, and acts as a technical mentor within the APC/CPM/PBM team.
What you will do
- Provide product and application support for external customers
- Provide management of customer problems by excellent communication, responsive follow up and advocacy of customer issues within Honeywell
- Collaborate closely with the other members of the team both locally and globally to solve customer problems and to exchange knowledge and best practices
- Contribute text and video-based entries to the online Knowledge Base and monthly customer newsletter
- Participate in review and testing of new releases to ensure customer issues are resolved
- Deliver customer training and provide technical support to the sales organization
- Assist the APC/CPM/PBM Team Leader to develop and implement strong teamwork processes and standards
- Share knowledge and best practices within the team.
- Act as a technical mentor for less experienced team members.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Chemical/Process/Control/Instrumentation Engineering or a closely related field
- Eight-Ten years relevant experience – use of CPM tools. Ideally some industrial experience – knowledge of refinery processes (separation/reactors), process automation, PID control desirable
- Fluent in English; additional languages an asset
