About the role
This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions that improve product quality and engineering efficiency. It involves building scalable test automation frameworks with Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress and integrating automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions. The engineer will also drive automation strategy and mentor junior team members in quality engineering practices.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.
- Create and execute automated test suites using Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress.
- Develop high-quality automation code using Python and Java.
- Utilize development environments such as PyCharm and Visual Studio Code/Visual Studio for automation development, debugging, and maintenance.
- Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Drive automation strategy, standards, and best practices across engineering teams.
- Perform code reviews and ensure maintainability, scalability, and reliability of automation frameworks.
- Analyze automation results, identify failures, and collaborate with development teams to improve product quality.
- Continuously enhance test automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in quality engineering practices.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve automation effectiveness.
