About the role
NetApp is developing a new portfolio of data-centric storage platforms and services, bringing its enterprise-class data storage technologies into major public clouds (Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure) and cloud flexibility into customer data centers. The engineering team is responsible for product development, test plans, automation, and systemic testing, as well as maintenance and enhancements to existing technologies and products. This software engineer role focuses on C/C++ development in LINUX/UNIX environments, systems engineering work, and hands-on integration, scale, and regression testing of features.

- Design, build, and maintain systems that power NetApp's cloud computing platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship high-impact features

What the employer is looking for
- Experience with development with C/C++ in LINUX/UNIX environments
- Experience with applying standard software engineering practices
- Proficient with systems engineering domain concepts such as computer architecture, operating systems, file systems, networking, algorithms & data structures.
- Practical experience in hands-on testing, automation, Integration, System, Scale and Regression testing of Feature(s).
- Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers
- Knowledge of storage or cloud technologies is a plus
- Strong oral & written communication skills are a plus
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field, a Master Degree or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required
