About the role
The Cisco Intersight team is responsible for Cisco's AI Infrastructure strategy and provides an intelligent management platform that orchestrates and simplifies hybrid cloud environments. The platform acts as a control plane for deploying, monitoring, and optimizing AI-driven workloads across distributed infrastructure. This role develops and validates infrastructure, software components, and integrations in on-prem and cloud environments, with a focus on cloud-native, distributed systems.

Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor's in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 7 years or Master's with 4 years or PhD with 1 year of related experience.
- Experience programming with Go, C/C++, Java and/or Python
- Experience with microservices software architecture and large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Experience working with cloud technologies like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud
- Good understanding of Linux, OS and networking fundamentals.
Preferred qualifications
- Software and product development experience with cloud computing and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with virtualization environments such as vSphere, HyperV, KVM.
- Deep understanding of AI technologies and AI-assisted development tools, with the ability to effectively leverage them to improve engineering productivity, solution design, and problem-solving.
