About the role
Honeywell's engineering organization builds IoT-based products and cloud and mobile SaaS solutions delivered to customers in a global product development environment, including the building domain. The team works across system requirements, architecture and design, end-to-end application development and deployment, and DevOps and Agile delivery practices. This Engineering Manager role owns large software programs, leads and mentors engineering teams, and drives integration of multiple sub-systems into customer-facing products.
What you will do
- Graduate degree in Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science with hands on experience in SaaS, Mobile,
- Cloud based applications and end to-end product development experience.
- Must have minimum 13-15 years of Experience.
- Must have handled large Software programs and application Development & Deployment as an Engineering owner and involved in integration of multiple sub-systems.
- Should have led a team of engineers in the role of an Engineering leader and delivered on multiple projects.
- Should have worked in global product development environment, developing and deploying products and solutions to Customers.
- Strong understanding of the IoT market, players, their offerings and trade-offs.
- Must have experience in generating System Requirements from the stakeholders requirements.
- Must have experience in converting System Requirements to Architecture/Design.
- Must have good communication & negotiation skills.
- Must be good at Technical Leadership with an ability to quickly adapt to latest technology trends.
- Must have experience/exposure with Automation and unit testing frameworks, eco systems for Development & Operations (DevOps) frameworks.
- Strong background working in an Agile environment.
- Domain and product knowledge in Building Domain will be added advantage
- Results driven with a positive can do attitude
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Excellent team building, mentoring people.
- Must be a self-starter, proactive and willing to learn and grow with the business.
- Must demonstrate a hands-on approach, attention to detail and results orientation.
- Experience in developing IOT based systems.

- Excellent communications skills including the ability to present hypotheses and analysis results to a wide audience in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, Implement effective governance practices and be able to execute projects to develop products and solutions that has high impact to customers.
- Ability to persuade stakeholders and champion effective techniques during new product development.
- A demonstrated passionate commitment to the customer and product quality.
- Innovative, creative, proactive and outside the box thinking.
- Experience turning data into actionable decisions.
