About the role
Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) gives sellers worldwide access to Amazon's distribution network as a service, letting them pay only for what they use while leveraging Amazon's infrastructure, with sellers in 135 countries relying on the technology. The team operates like a startup within Amazon, with flexibility in product and technology direction, and builds mission-critical systems that send, store and manage billions of products globally. This role owns the design, launch and re-architecture of multi-tier, large-scale distributed systems that drive seller inventory management and lower supply chain costs.

- You will solve ambiguous business problems and map them to elegant technical solutions
- You will use object-oriented concepts, algorithms and data structures to build systems at Amazon scale
- You will design, launch, and re-architect multi-tier systems with large amounts of data
- You will quickly adapt to fast-paced development environment with bias towards simple and extensible code

What the employer is looking for
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or equivalent
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development, or 3+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 4+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience designing, building, operating, and managing large-scale distributed systems or web services
- Experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object-oriented design principles
- Experience in a high volume, transactional and distributed system environment
- Experience in retail/E-commerce research in a global context
- 3+ years of leading engineering excellence, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
