About the role
Part Analytics, an Altium Company within Renesas, builds AI-powered supply management software that helps manufacturing companies accelerate product development, improve profit margin and uncover hidden risks in the supply chain. The role is for a backend software engineer to analyze requirements, design and implement scalable code, integrate frontend elements with server-side logic, and deliver quality applications. Work includes Node.js/JavaScript backend development, PostgreSQL/SQL, Git source control, and AWS deployment.
What you will do
- Develop high-quality applications.
- Participate in sprint planning, task estimation and user story creation.
- Design and implement testable and scalable code.
- Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic.
- Utilise Gitlab/Github repository for source control.
- Successful collaboration with frontend developers.
- Accurate estimation and timely completion of tasks.
- Contribute to process improvements to drive efficiency and efficacy.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent from good reputed university.
- 3+ years of experience (real world, not academic).
- Experienced with back-end programming languages (NodeJS).
- Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.
- Strong foundation of relational (Ex: PostgreSQL) database systems with complex SQL queries.
- Experience using Source Control such as Git.
- Knowledge on any web server/app server configuration and deployment on AWS platform.
- Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
- Good understanding of algorithms, data structures, performance optimization techniques and object oriented programming.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
