About the role

Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR), Bangalore, is Samsung Electronics' largest R&D centre outside Korea, working on industry-leading semiconductor solutions for hyperscale data centres, automotive, IoT, mobile and consumer electronics. The team works on post-silicon validation of domain-specific SoCs, covering areas such as CMU/DVFS, Platform Security Processor, DRAM/DMC, Power Management Unit and NPU SoCs. This role involves embedded-C/bare-metal programming, runtime system debugging with JTAG-based debuggers, and validation of SoC architecture and memory hierarchy.

What you will do

  • CMU/DVFS Validation: Clock Management Unit (CMU) and Dynamic Voltage & Frequency Scaling (DVFS).
  • PSP Validation: IROM / Platform Security Processor (PSP).
  • DMC / DRAM Validation: Dynamic RAM.
  • PMU – Power Management Unit.
  • NPU SoC.

What the employer is looking for

  • Fundamentals of digital and Analog electronics.
  • 4-12 years of experience in post-silicon validation using embedded-C/bare-metal hands on programming and system debugging.
  • Excellent knowledge of SOC architecture and memory hierarchy.
  • Experience with ARM based embedded/firmware programming.
  • Hands on embedded C, Data structure hands-on programming skills-must.
  • Experience with debugging programs during run-time using Lauterbach Trace32 or similar JTAG based debuggers.
