About the role
Qualcomm's Hardware Engineering Group develops electronic systems, circuits, FPGA and DSP systems that launch cutting-edge products, with engineers collaborating cross-functionally to meet performance requirements. This SOC Design Implementation role focuses on Design Implementation within the hardware engineering domain, covering the flow from RTL to gates. The engineer will own RTL synthesis for performance/power/area, DFT insertion including MBIST and SCAN, low-power and logic equivalency checks, and signoff static timing analysis and ECO flows for timing closure with Design/DFT/PD teams.
What you will do
- RTL Synthesis to achieve the best Performance/Power/Area of the designs
- DFT insertions that include MBIST and SCAN, setup Timing Constraints for functional and Test Modes, and Validation.
- Run static Low-Power checks on gate level netlists
- Verify Logic Equivalency Checks between RTL to Gates and Gates to Gates
- Setup signoff Static Timing Analysis and ECO flows and achieve timing closure working with the Design/DFT/PD teams
- Timing analysis with sta tools
- Constraints debug and sanity checks
