About the role
The role sits within Google's Technical Solutions organization, owning the technical relationship with the company's largest advertising clients and product partners and leading cross-functional work across Engineering, Sales and Product Management. The team in question supports Android, Google's mobile operating system powering more than 3 billion devices, and the platform provided to OEMs and developers. This role focuses on the technical dimensions of ecosystem partnerships with carriers, telcos, Entitlement Server providers and aggregators, covering Android connectivity and cross-platform RCS messaging launches, interoperability testing and feature alignment.
What you will do
- Take charge of the technical dimensions of our ecosystem partnership (carriers/telcos, Entitlement Server providers, aggregators), encompassing launches, interoperability testing, and new feature alignment to ensure seamless integration of Android connectivity and cross-platform RCS messaging technologies.
- Serve as the technical expert for Android connectivity technologies and RCS messaging protocols, providing partners with solutions that enhance the overall use and cross-platform integration of the technology.
- Act as the vital link between our Engineering, Engineering Productivity, Product, and Business Development teams.
- Work closely with the global carrier ecosystem to align their services with Android connectivity and RCS cross-platform service offering.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance metrics, sharing findings with internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment and measure progress toward our objectives.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
- Experience in Android internals and app development.
- Experience in solution engineering or architecture and stakeholder management, professional services, or technical consulting.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience managing projects and working with analytics, software coding, or customer-side web technologies.
- 8 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
- 8 years of experience in operations management (e.g., process improvement, operational reviews, optimizing workflows, etc).
