About the role
The Technical Program Management Office (TPMO) in NetApp's Cloud Storage & Services Business Unit leads programs for cloud-integrated, fully managed, high-performance scalable cloud storage solutions across Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS. This role owns end-to-end program management of key cloud growth initiatives identified by the CEO and executive leadership, driving cross-functional teams from concept and design through implementation and market launch. The TPM serves as the technical delivery owner for cross-program dependencies, executive communication, risk management, and end-to-end delivery, reporting to the Senior Manager, TPMO, Cloud Storage & Services.
What you will do
- Lead end-to-end program management for strategic initiatives, ensuring successful delivery, business outcomes, and executive visibility.
- Drive alignment and execution across global engineering, product, and business teams, fostering collaboration in a matrixed environment.
- Own program planning, including milestones, dependencies, resource management, critical path tracking, and release integration.
- Partner with engineering and product leaders to prioritize work, resolve cross-functional dependencies, and manage capacity trade-offs.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; drive issue resolution, release readiness, governance reviews, and informed decision-making.
- Represent programs in leadership forums, provide executive updates, and enhance program efficiency through process improvements and automation.

- 8+ years of experience leading large, complex cross-functional engineering programs and product implementations.
- Strong understanding of program, project, and resource dependencies across portfolios.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive results in highly matrixed organizations.
- Demonstrated success managing risks, resolving issues, and escalating appropriately.
- Experience delivering large-scale platform, infrastructure, cloud, storage, distributed systems, or SaaS programs.
- Ability to review and challenge architecture designs, technical specifications, release plans, and dependency maps.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, release planning, milestone management, GA readiness, and change control.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, JIRA, and Confluence.
- PMP certification, Agile experience, and storage industry knowledge are preferred.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience of successful releases for multiple products or services in technology focused programs.
