About the role
Palo Alto Networks is a cybersecurity company whose teams build platforms and products that protect customers' digital way of life, and this role joins a team responsible for building a platform that serves all CyberArk's SaaS products. The platform work centers on AWS serverless architecture, AWS CDK and Python, with full-stack components built in React. This senior staff engineer will design, develop, test, secure and deploy services from planning to production while collaborating with security architects, product managers and other development teams.
What you will do
- Use AWS serverless architecture, AWS CDK & Python to design, develop, test, secure & deploy services from planning to production.
- Work in full collaboration with security architects, product managers and other development teams to produce complex and advanced platforms that meet the highest security standards and NFRs.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- 6+ years of experience in Python/Go/Node/Ruby/Java (Python is a definite advantage).
- 2+ years of experience in React/Angular/Vue (React is a definite advantage).
- Experience with at least one Cloud Platform AWS, Azure or Google Cloud (AWS is a definite advantage).
- Experience in enterprise scale application development in cloud/SaaS environments (AWS serverless architecture is a definite advantage).
- Good communication skills, fluent in English, good writing skills.
- Passionate about code design, high-quality code, code reviews, optimizing and challenging the status quo.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering related field / technology.
- Experience working with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline.
- Experienced with microservice/event-oriented design and development.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with large scale data processing and analytics.
- Enthusiastic about code quality, architecture, design, testing, and performance.
- Proactive, highly motivated individual with a high work ethic and goal-oriented approach.
- Solid understanding of security and networking implementation and best practices.
- Experienced with modern CI/CD tools, in particular GitHub, Jenkins and Artifactory.
- Autodidact, like to learn new things and share with the team.
- Desire to use new technologies and understand them in depth.
