About the role
Teradata builds an AI and Knowledge Platform that delivers harmonized data, trusted AI, and faster innovation for enterprise customers. The Vibe Analytics team focuses on analytics and algorithms that let data scientists describe analyses and have the product build, run, and explain them. This role is a senior individual contributor product manager who sets product vision, strategy, roadmap, and priorities for AI/ML capabilities and works with data scientists and engineering to ship trusted analytics products.
What you will do
- In this role, you will serve as a Sr. Staff Product Manager for Teradata’s Vibe Analytics products driving product vision, strategy, planning, roadmap, execution and adoption.
- You will define and influence how Teradata integrates AI/ML technologies into our enterprise-scale platforms.
- You will own the analytics and algorithms layer of Vibe Analytics: the part where data scientists describe what they want and the product builds, runs and explains the analysis.
- You set what we build and in what order.
- Decide which analytics functions and algorithms Vibe Analytics supports, and how well they must perform.
- Spend time with data scientists to find where their work breaks down.
- Work with engineering and data science to ship, and measure whether users trust the results.
- Track competitors and turn what you learn into clear priorities.
Skills used in this role

- Worked as a data scientist, or built products for data scientists, for several years.
- First-hand knowledge of how data scientists work: exploring data, engineering features, training and testing models, and moving them to production.
- Strong technical depth.
- You can read a notebook, question an algorithm choice, and tell a good model from a lucky one.
- A record of shipping analytics or ML products that data scientists adopted.
