About the role
Meraki's cloud teams build and maintain cloud applications that manage millions of networks, cameras, and sensors worldwide, powering the Meraki web dashboard, mobile app, and programmable APIs, while Cisco collects massive amounts of device data to power dashboards and APIs. This role works on a high-profile networking project handling Cisco Secure Connect end-to-end solutions and new features, solving architecture problems to build scalable and extendable systems. The engineer will take ownership from conception to production release, collaborating with Product Managers, UX designers, and front-end engineers, and ensuring system quality through tests, monitoring, and alerting.
What you will do
- Work closely with leaders in the networking industry on a high-profile project that includes collaboration across business units, rapid prototyping, and integration into production
- Solve challenging architecture problems to build scalable and extendable systems
- Work with cisco's cross BU to handle Cisco Secure Connect E2E solutions and adding new features for Secure connect
- Take complete ownership from conception to production release by leveraging your ability to influence, facilitate, and work collaboratively across teams
- Work closely with Product Managers, UX designers, and front-end engineers to develop simplified workflows for our customers
- Ensure the quality of these systems by adding tests, monitoring, and alerting systems
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- 7+ years of experience in automation
- Hands-on experience with languages and technologies including Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, ELK, Grafana, Terraform, GIT, and several AWS services like RDS and DynamoDB.
- Expertise in networking domain
- Hands on experience on writing complex automation framework using python or other scripting languages
- Hands on experience on doing UI automation using Selenium/robot framework
- Good debugging skills
- Experience working with Azure and/or AWS cloud
- Able to test & automate end to end solutions, scale level tests using python or any available framework
- Hands on experience on automation and manual testing
Preferred qualifications
- Experience or willingness to work in an agile environment (Scrum.)
- Personal projects or contributions to open-source projects.
- Experience with Cypress
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) systems
- Experience with Docker and/or other container technologies
