About the role
Databricks builds and runs a data and AI infrastructure platform used by more than 20,000 organizations worldwide to build and scale data and AI apps, analytics and agents. Networking Infrastructure is a core part of that platform, powering all data and AI products as well as enterprise security features used by customers to build connectivity to cloud resources and prevent data exfiltration; the team is being set up from scratch in Bengaluru, India. This role will build new backend connectivity services powering millions of VMs and lead the design and development of services connecting the control plane and compute plane.
What you will do
- As one of the seed members of the Bangalore site, you will be focussing on building new backend connectivity services that powers millions of VMs running on Databricks.
- You will also be leading the design and development of new services that powers the connectivity between our control plane and compute plane.
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and other engineering teams, to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and efficient networking systems.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- 6+ years of production level experience in one of: Python, Java, Scala, C++, or similar language
- 3+ years of experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch
- Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures.
