The role leads multiple full-stack engineering teams working on Java/Spring Boot microservices and React/Angular user experiences, with a strong emphasis on cloud platforms, event-driven architecture, CI/CD, and reliability. It also drives adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and SDLC automation practices, owning delivery outcomes, engineering standards, and talent development.
What you will do
- Sets and scales operating practices for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and SDLC/TLM automation across multiple teams to improve delivery speed, quality, and operational outcomes; establishes measurable expectations (e.g., throughput, defect reduction, reliability) and ensures consistent validation, security, resiliency, and reuse of proven patterns.
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to drive efficiency and support capacity unlock initiatives across teams, prioritizing reuse of existing firm technology assets.
- Lead and develop a team of full-stack engineers delivering Java/Spring Boot services and React/Angular UI experiences.
- Own delivery outcomes (scope, timelines, quality, operational readiness) and manage execution through Agile planning and sprint ceremonies.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards: secure coding, code reviews, test strategy, CI/CD quality gates, and observability.
- Drive platform reliability and operational excellence: incident response readiness, root-cause analysis, preventative controls, and reduction of repeat issues.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data & Analytics, and dependent platform teams to refine requirements, manage dependencies, and deliver iteratively.
- Influence architecture and technical strategy across services and domains; ensure scalability, resiliency, and performance objectives are met.
- Coach and mentor engineers and technical leads; build a strong talent pipeline through hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
