About the role

PepsiCo's procurement organization is building digital and AI-enabled capabilities to improve speed, quality, compliance, and value across sourcing and category management. The team translates procurement stakeholder needs into usable solutions using analytics, automation, and AI. This role leads the design, deployment, and adoption of those capabilities, developing AI-enabled tools and analytics models and embedding them into everyday procurement workflows.

What you will do

  • Work closely with procurement stakeholders to identify pain points and define the digital and AI solutions in alignment with business priorities.
  • Be instrumental in developing and maintaining solutions for efficient whitespace identification and achieve productivity/savings goals.
  • Act as a partner with the Digital Procurement team to improve adoption of tools and a sounding board for feature enhancements.
  • Identifying high-impact use cases across sourcing, contracting, buying, supplier management, and operations
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and sequence digital initiatives (AI, analytics, automation/bots, workflow tools) based on value, feasibility, and change impact; own the business case and value-tracking framework.
  • Build and deploy AI-enabled capabilities such as automated RFx drafting and evaluation, supplier risk signals, contract clause extraction, spend classification, and conversational assistants for procurement users
  • Develop advanced analytics and AI models for spend analysis, demand/supply forecasting, price and trade analytics, and scenario planning; operationalize outputs into category playbooks and decision support
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc insights (local/global) on savings, compliance, cycle times, supplier performance, and transformation progress; translate complex data into clear narratives for leadership
  • Identify repetitive, rules-based tasks across procurement and implement automation (RPA, low-code workflows, AI agents) to reduce manual effort and errors while improving auditability
  • Implement alerting and monitoring for critical processes and markets (e.g., price spikes, supply constraints, contract expiries) using digital feeds and AI-driven anomaly detection
  • Run workshops with users to uncover inefficiencies, co-design improvements, and align on workplans for analytics, automation, and AI adoption

  • Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and tools (e.g., GenAI/LLMs, predictive models, NLP for contracts/text, anomaly detection) and how to apply them responsibly in enterprise processes.
  • Strong internal customer management skills: capacity to listen, understand and capture internal clients’ needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
