About the role
Publicis Sapient is hiring an SDE III to design and build self-service capabilities on top of an edge infrastructure platform. The engineer will focus on backend services, APIs, and automation using Java, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins. The role is based in Bangalore and requires 9 to 14 years of experience.
What you will do
- We are looking for an SDE III to design and build self-service capabilities on top of our edge infrastructure platform.
- This engineer will focus on developing backend services, APIs, and automation capabilities using technologies such as Java, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.

- Strong programming experience in Java.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Experience developing microservices deployed on Kubernetes or similar container platforms.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and scalability patterns.
- Experience building production-grade automation platforms.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform
- Experience building declarative, idempotent automation workflows.
- Strong Git and CI/CD experience using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals
- Kubernetes platform operations.
- Event-driven architecture.
- GenAI, RAG, Agentic AI, LLM integration, Prompt Engineering, Spring AI,
- Service meshes and API gateways.
- Monitoring and alerting platforms.
- Distributed tracing.
- Metrics and logging pipelines.
- Any cloud experience AWS, Azure and GCP
