About the role
Mahindra & Mahindra's AI Division builds enterprise-grade AI systems, and this role leads AI development for a business unit while reporting directly into the CEO of the Central AI Division. The work spans modern LLM architectures, Generative AI, RAG, fine-tuning and machine learning models deployed on Azure, GCP and AWS data platforms. The role also drives AI integration into business processes, leads cross-functional delivery teams and aligns AI strategy with business CEOs, IT leaders and technology partners.
What you will do
- Advanced AI Expertise Leverage expertise in modern Large Language Model (LLM) architectures and Generative AI models, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), fine-tuning, and prompt engineering.
- Experience in Data Science & Building Machine Learning Models Solve complex business problems through machine learning solutions.
- AI Innovation Spearhead initiatives to integrate AI into business processes, driving efficiency and unlocking new opportunities.
- Cloud & Data Platforms Utilise cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, and AWS, along with data platforms, to deploy scalable AI systems.
- Program Leadership Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful delivery of AI programs through strong program management capabilities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration Engage with Business CEOs, Vertical Heads, IT Leaders, technology vendors, and system integrators to align AI strategies with organizational goals.
Skills used in this role

- 10+ years of experience in AI, Data Science, and Data Architecture, with a track record of delivering impactful solutions.
- Problem-Solving Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to design solutions that deliver business value.
- Technical Expertise Mastery in data analytics, machine learning frameworks, and programming languages such as Python and R.
- AI Knowledge In-depth understanding of Generative AI models and LLM architectures, including best practices for implementation.
- Cloud Platforms Strong hands-on experience with Azure, GCP, and AWS.
- Leadership Traits Proven ability to lead teams, manage large-scale AI programs, and drive collaboration across departments.
Preferred qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech
- Good to have: MBA
- Certification in cloud platforms or machine learning frameworks.
- Exposure to the latest advancements in AI, including Generative AI and emerging technologies.
- Experience in collaborating with vendors and technology ecosystem partners.
