About the role
The role sits within Mahindra's vehicle engineering organization, focused on exterior and interior lighting systems from concept through start of production. Work spans benchmarking of lighting technologies, SOR/DVP/TSO development, supplier interaction, design release and validation to meet functional, quality and regulatory standards. The engineer also handles optics, CAE thermal/vibration analysis, DFMEA and packaging work for lighting systems.
What you will do
- To design, develop and implement Lighting System - Exterior & Interior
- Benchmarking of lighting technologies
- POC, SOR, DVP, TSO & development for lighting systems, meeting all functional, quality & regulatory standards / requirements with in project time line.
- Interact with supplier from concept to SOP capturing all SOR requirements & address build & validation issues
- Managing and tracking of design release, development, validation & field failures
- Review & release technical specifications & other documentations
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Knowledge in Optics & CAE Thermal, Vibration & Condensations
- Should have additional knowledge in Wiring harness, Electronics
- Should have detail knowledge in Optics, CAD packaging & design, DFMEA and GD&T
- Must demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability, especially in the field of expertise.
- Usage of tools used in DFMEA, problem solving tools and techniques and project management tools , Fluent in use of personal computer programs such as Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, project etc.
- Experience 4 to 8 yrs.
- B.E./B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech
