About the role
Mahindra Group is hiring a Senior Engineer for lighting system design and development in Chennai. The role covers exterior and interior lighting systems, benchmarking, SOR/DVP/TSO creation, supplier interaction, design release, validation, and field failure tracking. It requires knowledge of optics, CAE, CAD, DFMEA, GD&T, wiring harness, and electronics to meet functional, quality, and regulatory standards.
What you will do
- To design, develop and implement Lighting System - Exterior & Interior Benchmarking of lighting technologies POC, SOR, DVP, TSO & development for lighting systems, meeting all functional, quality & regulatory standards / requirements with in project time line.
- Interact with supplier from concept to SOP capturing all SOR requirements & address build & validation issues
- Managing and tracking of design release, development, validation & field failures
- Review & release technical specifications & other documentations
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Knowledge in Optics & CAE Thermal, Vibration & Condensations
- Should have additional knowledge in Wiring harness, Electronics
- Should have detail knowledge in Optics, CAD packaging & design, DFMEA and GD&T
- Must demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability, especially in the field of expertise.
- Usage of tools used in DFMEA, problem solving tools and techniques and project management tools , Fluent in use of personal computer programs such as Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, project etc.
- Experience 4 to 8 yrs.
