About the role
This Mahindra Group role is for a Senior Engineer - VES based in Chennai, focused on exterior and interior lighting systems. The position covers design, development, benchmarking, supplier interaction from concept to SOP, validation and field-failure tracking for lighting systems. It requires cross-functional coordination and adherence to quality, regulatory and project timelines.
What you will do
- To design, develop and implement Lighting System - Exterior & Interior
- Benchmarking of lighting technologies
- POC, SOR, DVP, TSO & development for lighting systems, meeting all functional, quality & regulatory standards / requirements with in project time line.
- Interact with supplier from concept to SOP capturing all SOR requirements & address build & validation issues
- Managing and tracking of design release, development, validation & field failures
- Knowledge in Optics & CAE Thermal, Vibration & Condensations
- Should have additional knowledge in Wiring harness, Electronics
- Review & release technical specifications & other documentations
- Should have detail knowledge in Optics, CAD packaging & design, DFMEA and GD&T
- Must demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability, especially in the field of expertise.
- Usage of tools used in DFMEA, problem solving tools and techniques and project management tools , Fluent in use of personal computer programs such as Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, project etc.
