About the role
Mahindra Group is hiring a Senior Engineer - EPT for its Cheyyar/Chennai operations, focused on lithium-ion cell fabrication, battery characterization and electrochemical analysis. The role involves hands-on work with glovebox, XRD, SEM, DSC and ICP, BMS core function calibration for SOC and SOH algorithms, and method development. It also applies quality tools such as DFMEA, design reviews and project management within an automotive engineering context.

Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Experience 3-6 years
- B.E. in mechanical engineering, automobile or mechatronics
- Good undertanding Li ion fabrication, and preparation
- Min 3 years hands on Work experience on glovebox, XRD, SEM, DSC and ICP
- Familiar with XRD, DSC and ICp software and analysis.
- Experience in battery characterisation and electrochemical techniques
- BMS core functions calibration (SOC, SOH) algorithms
- Basics of Lithium Ion Cells (Basic Characteristics, Types of Li Ion batteries)
- Analytical chemistry; Wet chemistry, Expertise in Method Development for AI and intermediate analysis for XRD, FESEM
- Possession of strong leadership skills are essential to inspire and motivate team.
- Takes personal responsibility to make things happen and continuously raises the bar.
- Display a high degree of emotional maturity and awareness of own impact.
- Define and leads change initiatives for own work area
- Continuously raises the team’s performance to best-in-class levels and creates a culture of high accountability.
