About the role
The role sits within Mahindra Group's automotive engineering function in Chennai (MRV-AD), focused on casting component design. The team develops high pressure die casting (HPDC) components such as housings and brackets for automotive applications. This Senior Engineer will perform CAD modelling in UG-NX, create drawings and tolerance analysis, and coordinate with CAE, manufacturing, tooling and supplier teams through the development cycle.
What you will do
- Design and develop HPDC components (e.g., housings, brackets) using UG-NX
- Should have good understanding of CAE DVPs and capable of independently coordinating with CAE and manufacturing teams during the development.
- Conduct CAD modelling, drawing creation, and tolerance analysis
- Support tooling, prototyping, and supplier interaction

- BE or ME in Mechanical/ Automobile Engineering
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Production Engineering
- 4+ years of experience in automotive HPDC component design
- Proficient in Unigraphics NX and GD&T
- Strong understanding of HPDC process and DFM principle
