About the role
The Senior Engineer - DAC role is within Mahindra Group's automotive engineering domain, focused on electric power steering systems and vehicle networking. It involves CAN, CAN-FD, and FlexRay architecture development, steering software logic review, and ECU communication coordination. The role also covers test case preparation with virtual ECUs, supplier discussions, validation and certification support, and new technology proof of concept creation.
What you will do
- Electronic power Steering system CAN Architecture development and good knowledge in CAN, CAN-FD & Flexray networking.
- Design and development knowledge on 3 phase AC motors and its functions.
- Steering system calculations understanding to review the control logics of Steering software
- Good knowledge in Sensors, Microcontrollers of Steering system
- Co-ordinate with Electronics team & other interface team on understanding the communication of ECU's to prepare the logics.
- Excellent knowledge in CAN communicating tools like, CANoe, CANape, Vehicle spy.
- Script development using Vector & Interpedis tools (CAPL scipt, VS3 script)
- Test case preparation with Virtual ECU's for Software verification.
- Discussion with Suppliers on Networking, Logic preparation,Specification documents, Diagnosics and timeline during the complete project stages.
- Material cost reduction
- Analysis of failure modes in the vehicle and preparing 8D for problem solving.
- Assist CMVR team on steering validation and certification
- Creation of Standards on the Script geneartions and operating procedures.
- New technology proof of concept creation
- Benchmarking and adopting the features to products.
- Adequate knowledge in Lifecyle tools like JIRA, IBM DNG portal.
