About the role
Infineon's Silicon Validation team validates next-generation SoCs from pre-silicon to post-silicon stages, working on ARM-based platforms and high-speed interfaces to bring semiconductor products to production. The team collaborates with design, architecture, firmware, and software groups on system-level bring-up, debug, and performance characterization. This role owns validation activities, builds Python and C/C++ automation frameworks, and drives silicon debug using lab equipment such as high-speed oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
What you will do
- Own and execute pre-silicon and post-silicon validation activities for ARM-based SoCs and platforms.
- Develop, automate, and maintain validation frameworks using Python and C/C++/Embedded C.
- Create validation plans, test cases, and regression suites based on product specifications.
- Validate and debug high-speed interfaces and protocols including PCIe, USB, AXI, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Perform system-level bring-up, functional validation, performance characterization, and issue triaging.
- Use lab equipment such as high-speed oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for silicon debug and root-cause analysis.
- Work closely with Architecture, Design, Firmware, and Software teams to identify, debug, and resolve silicon and system-level issues.
- Analyze validation results, document findings, and drive issue resolution through product release.
- Contribute to improving validation methodologies, automation infrastructure, and test coverage.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Silicon Validation, System Validation, or Platform Validation.
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Python and C/C++ or Embedded C.
- Solid understanding of ARM SoC architecture and embedded systems concepts.
- Experience working with high-speed interfaces and protocols such as PCIe, USB, AXI, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Hands-on expertise with laboratory debugging tools, including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a structured approach to root-cause analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams within a fast-paced semiconductor development environment.
Benefits and support
- Compensation and benefits are detailed in the job posting
