About the role

The role sits within Bosch's vehicle motion and brake systems organization, responsible for the end-to-end development and technical delivery of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) for vehicle motion and brake systems. It acts as the key interface between the customer and the ECU hardware development team, covering requirements analysis, hardware design, verification and production. The position will drive technical reviews, hardware project execution and cross-functional coordination across Hardware, Software, System, Quality and Manufacturing stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Analyze and manage customer and system requirements and translate them into ECU hardware requirements.
  • Plan, track and drive project execution for ECU hardware development, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Lead delivery of hardware development outputs, including schematics, BOM and technical documentation for production.
  • Perform interface circuit calculations and design analysis for ECU interfaces.
  • Define and evaluate hardware thresholds and interfaces in collaboration with the Software team.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable EMC, functional safety and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate technical topics across Hardware, Software, System, Quality, Manufacturing and other stakeholders.
  • Act as the technical interface to customers for ECU hardware topics, addressing requirements, technical issues and project deliverables.
  • Drive technical reviews, issue resolution, design decisions and end-to-end hardware project execution.

What the employer is looking for

  • 8–10 years of experience in automotive electronics / ECU hardware development.
  • Full lifecycle experience in automotive hardware development, from requirements through design, verification and production.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, ECU architecture, interfaces and hardware design.
  • Experience with hardware verification and validation, including design verification methods, data acquisition/analysis and HIL/MIL/SIL environments.
  • Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow and model-based development.
  • Understanding of automotive communication interfaces such as CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay and Automotive Ethernet.
  • Good understanding of Functional Safety – ISO 26262, failure mode analysis and failure avoidance.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and hardware debugging.
  • Familiarity with Vector CANape and CANalyzer.
  • Experience in project planning, tracking and technical project management.
  • Experience working in global and cross-functional development environments.
  • Strong customer/stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with high ownership, accountability and attention to detail.
  • B.E. B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech ( Electrical, Electronics, communication and Instrumentation)
