About the role
IBM Consulting works with leading companies across industries to help them shape their hybrid cloud and AI journeys, drawing on strategic partners, IBM technology, and Red Hat. This role sits within that consulting practice, focused on Cloud & Infrastructure Security. As a Security Consultant specializing in Infrastructure Security, the role helps client IT and business executives understand cloud and infrastructure security challenges, risks, and vulnerabilities, and applies security and zero trust principles to develop tailored infrastructure security strategies, incident response plans, and remediation roadmaps.
What you will do
- Conduct Client Assessments: Conduct interviews, workshops, and assessments to identify potential security issues and provide consulting services to analyze and resolve security incidents.
- Develop Security Strategies: Apply in-depth knowledge of secure infrastructure and applications of hybrid cloud to develop infrastructure security programs, incident response plans, and remediation recommendations and roadmaps.
- Analyze Security Incidents: Provide consulting services to analyze and resolve security incidents, enabling clients to achieve a superior security posture and effectively manage security incidents.
- Deliver Tailored Solutions: Develop infrastructure security solutions tailored to the client's business needs, applying security and zero trust principles.
- Implement Incident Response Plans: Develop and implement incident response plans to help clients manage security incidents effectively.

- Incident Response Experience: Exposure to analyzing and resolving security incidents, including experience developing and implementing incident response plans.

- Hybrid Cloud Applications: Familiarity with secure applications of hybrid cloud, including experience developing infrastructure security strategies and programs tailored to business needs.

- Advanced Threat Analysis: Familiarity with advanced threat analysis and incident response methodologies, including experience with threat intelligence and security analytics tools.
- Zero Trust Architecture: Understanding of zero trust architecture principles and implementation strategies, including experience designing and deploying secure infrastructure solutions.
