About the role
IBM Consulting builds long-term client relationships and helps leading companies across industries shape their hybrid cloud and AI journeys, supported by IBM technology and Red Hat. As a Security Consultant specializing in Infrastructure Security, the role helps client IT and business executives understand Cloud & Infrastructure Security challenges, risks, and vulnerabilities by applying security and zero trust principles. The consultant conducts client assessments, develops infrastructure security strategies and incident response plans, designs remediation roadmaps, and administers firewall infrastructure including Check Point, Palo Alto, and Cisco ASA.
What you will do
- Conduct Client Assessments: Conduct interviews, workshops, and assessments to identify potential security issues and provide consulting services to analyze and resolve security incidents.
- Develop Security Strategies: Develop infrastructure security strategy, programs, incident response plans, and remediation recommendations and roadmaps tailored to the client's business needs.
- Analyze Security Incidents: Apply security and zero trust principles to analyze security incidents and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Provide Consulting Services: Deliver consulting services to help clients achieve a superior security posture and effectively manage security incidents.
- Design Remediation Plans: Create remediation recommendations and roadmaps to address identified security vulnerabilities and incidents.
- Exposure to Network Security: Configure, administer, and document firewall infrastructure, working with Checkpoint / Palo-Alto. Cisco ASA firewall. Manage the firewall deployment, rules migrations, and firewall administration. Responsible for converting existing rule base onto new platforms and finetuning.

- Security Consulting Skills: Experience providing consulting services to help clients improve their security posture and manage security incidents.
- Infrastructure Security Strategy Development: Familiarity with developing infrastructure security strategies, programs, and roadmaps tailored to business needs.
- Hybrid Cloud Applications: Exposure to secure infrastructure and applications of hybrid cloud, including understanding of zero trust architecture and its applications in hybrid cloud environments.
- Advanced Threat Analysis: Familiarity with analyzing and resolving complex security incidents, including experience with threat modeling and risk assessment.
- Security Frameworks Knowledge: Understanding of industry-recognized security frameworks and standards, including experience with compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or Network / Telecommunications Engineer B.Tech., B.E, MCA, M.Sc. IT.(Mandatory either of these)
- Professional Qualifications – CCNA, CCSA, CCSE, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Palo Alto Networks Certification
- Fortinet FortiGate Certification
- Check Point Certification
