About the role
Angel One is a fintech platform providing investing, trading, wealth creation, and credit services to millions of Indian customers. The SDET-2 role sits within engineering and focuses on quality across web, mobile, API, and backend applications. The engineer will build automation frameworks, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, and test AI/LLM-powered applications for accuracy and reliability.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for frontend and backend applications.
- Build automated functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end test suites.
- Perform UI automation using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Develop mobile automation scripts using Appium for Android and iOS applications.
- Automate REST and GraphQL APIs and perform database and backend validation.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and drive Shift-Left testing practices.
- Leverage GenAI and LLMs for test case generation, automation, debugging, and defect analysis.
- Test AI-powered applications for response accuracy, reliability, hallucinations, and overall quality.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and QA teams to drive continuous quality improvements.

- Programming: Strong proficiency in Python or Java; JavaScript is an added advantage.
- UI Automation: Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Mobile Automation: Appium (Android/iOS).
- API Testing: REST Assured, Postman, REST / GraphQL APIs.
- Frameworks: TestNG, JUnit, automation framework development.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Docker.
- Database & Backend: SQL, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Microservices.
- AI & GenAI: Understanding of LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, AI-assisted testing, and LLM response validation.
- AI Tools: GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, Claude.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical thinking, automation-first mindset, ownership, communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced product engineering environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in FinTech, Lending, Loans, or NBFC.
- Kafka, Redis, AWS / Azure.
- Performance testing using JMeter / Gatling.
- Experience with LLM evaluation frameworks and AI testing tools.
