About the role
Qualcomm's Engineering Group, within Hardware Applications Engineering, works closely with customers, product teams and RF ecosystem partners to enable successful deployment of wireless products. The work spans RF front end and transceiver implementations, from front-end block diagrams and RFFE through PCB layout. This role analyzes customer designs, resolves RF performance issues, provides technical guidance on RF front end and transceiver implementations, and drives root cause analysis with RFIC, RF Systems, software and hardware design teams.

Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
- Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
- PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Strong fundamentals in RF/wireless communication, hands-on debug experience, excellent problem solving skills and the ability to manage customer facing technical engagements in a fast paced environment.
Preferred qualifications
- RF design and debugging, LTE/5G technologies, transceivers, CAD tools expertise like Allegro, Mentor Expedition, Simulation tools expertise like ADS, HFSS, experience using call boxes, VNA and other RF characterization equipments
