About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Relationship Manager (RM) – Business Banking Working Capital (BBWC) to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth by acquiring new asset relationships and managing a high-value portfolio of 30 to 40 Business Banking Group (BBG) and SME client accounts. As an Individual Contributor, you will work closely with cluster heads and branch networks to deliver customized working capital solutions while ensuring excellent service and portfolio health.
What you will do
- Target Achievement: Drive volumes and profitability targets for the assigned Business Banking segment.
- Lead Generation & Conversion: Collaborate with branch networks to identify leads, manage the CRM pipeline, and close deals.
- Market Penetration: Map local markets to identify high-potential SME clients and maximize wallet share.
- Cross-Selling: Promote core liabilities, corporate salary accounts, treasury products, and third-party financial services.
- Client Retention: Manage a dedicated portfolio of 30–40 high-net-worth BBG accounts to deliver premium service.
- Daily Operations: Facilitate trade transactions, cash management services (CMS), and rate negotiations.
- Credit Analysis: Prepare detailed Credit Appraisal Memorandums (CAM) and customer risk profiles.
- Administrative Excellence: Ensure timely renewals, deferral closures, and collection of stock statements or insurance updates.
- Portfolio Health: Monitor account conduct closely to minimize Non-Performing Assets (NPAs).
- Risk Mitigation: Execute timely interventions, including line reductions or account restructurings when required.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Education: MBA in Finance, Chartered Accountant (CA), or a Postgraduate degree in a related field. (Graduates with exceptional working capital experience will be considered).
- Experience: 3 to 5+ years of proven experience in SME Banking, Working Capital Lending, or Corporate Sales.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of financial statement analysis, balance sheets, and working capital credit structures.
- Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within assigned business clusters.
