About the role
Barclays is a global financial services organisation, and this role sits within its technology function in Pune, building software that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues. The role focuses on finance reconciliation platforms such as Intellimatch, DUCO, FRONTIER, Smartstream, CTC and TLM, along with SQL Server database development. As a Recon Developer you will design, develop and improve reconciliation software, collaborating with product managers, designers and other engineers while adhering to secure coding and unit testing practices.
What you will do
- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Proficient in developing reconciliation on Recon platforms (Intellimatch, DUCO, FRONTIER, Smartstream, CTC, TLM etc)
- Good Understanding of Nostro, Depot, Intersystem and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Proficient SQL Server Database Technology; good in writing queries, Stored Procedures, performance running.
- Recon skillset specific to Finance and looking for candidates from this industry only.
- Experience 5 years + required.
- Minimum Qualification – bachelor’s degree.
Preferred qualifications
- Good Scripting Knowledge: Perl Scripting or Shell Scripting.
- Reconciliation – Functional Knowledge
- Hands-on exposure to Intellimatch
